Star Platforms has sponsored the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Golf Day a to raise funds for the MND association.
The event was organised by Mick Grimsdale, who is living with MND along with his daughter, Lauren Petchell, to raise funds for the MND Association. The event raised £5,771 on the day, with additional donations bringing the total to over £7,000.
Mick Grimsdale said: “As a family, we have experienced the profound challenges that motor neurone disease brings. This event goes beyond just fundraising; it’s about raising awareness and providing support for those like me living with this disease, as well as for families affected by it.”
Richard Miller of Star added: “Star Platforms were eager to support the fundraising goal and join the fight against this illness. We were honoured to stand alongside Mick and his family to help raise awareness and vital funds for the MND Association.”
MND fundraiser, Roger Widdecombe said: “The invaluable support from Mick’s family, alongside their dedicated fundraising efforts, coupled with the generous sponsorship from Star Platforms and the enthusiastic participation of all the golfers, has been instrumental in the success of this event. Contributions like these bring us closer to our vision of a world free from motor neurone disease.”
