A man employed by Connexus Energy died on Tuesday after falling from a truck mounted platform/Bucket truck to the south of Orrock Township – north west of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The man Thomas Stewart, 59, was in the process of climbing out the bucket, and one assumes onto a pole, at height of around two to three metres when he slipped and fell, suffering severe head injuries. Paramedics tried to stabilise him when they arrived but died in hospital later that day.

Minnesota based Connexus Energy thanked people for their thoughts and prayers and confirmed that Stewart had not been electrocuted or shocked. It added: “We are heartbroken over the passing of our friend and colleague, but we are waiting for family and friends to be notified before we share any additional information.”
