MGX takes Ring Power ops

MGX Equipment Services, the wholly owned Manitowoc distribution subsidiary has acquired most of the crane assets /business of Florida based Ring Power, in the states of Georgia and the Carolinas. MGX will take over the distribution of Manitowoc group products in these states.

The deal does not include the Ring Power facilities, which are located in Atlanta, Georgia, Aiken in South Carolina – north east of Augusta - and Charlotte, North Carolina, as the company is retaining them for use by its utility and truck distribution operations, which includes Hiab and Terex Utilities.

MGX already has facilities in North and South Carolina, but will need one in Georgia. One assumes, but it is not confirmed, that MGX will share the Ring Power facility in Atlanta until it can relocate to its own facility.
MGX operates from 16 locations in the USA The Blue ones trade under the Aspen Equipment brand

Ring Power will also continue to run its crane business in Florida where it represents Grove, Manitowoc, and National Crane, as well as Hiab, Magni and Tadano Mantis.
