MGX Equipment Services, the wholly owned Manitowoc distribution subsidiary has acquired most of the crane related assets of Florida based Ring Power, in the states of Georgia and the Carolinas. MGX will take over the distribution of an y Manitowoc products in these states that it does not already distribute.
The deal does not include the Ring Power facilities - located in Atlanta, Georgia, Aiken in South Carolina, and Charlotte, North Carolina - as the company is retaining them for use by its utility and truck distribution operations, which includes Hiab and Terex Utilities.
MGX already has facilities in North and South Carolina, but may need one in Georgia, in the meantime it will cover the state from its Aiken location.
MGX operates from 16 locations in the USA The Blue ones trade under the Aspen Equipment brand
Ring Power will continue to run its crane business in Florida where it represents Grove, Manitowoc, and National Crane, as well as Hiab, Magni and Tadano Mantis.
