German crane rental company Maximum has taken delivery of a 150 tonne Grove GMK5150L-1 All Terrain crane.
The five axle GMK5150L-1 has a 60 metre six section main boom topped by an 11.2 to 17.8 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, which can be extended to 33.8 metres for a maximum tip height of 96.8 metres. The crane can travel with up 10.2 tonnes of its 42.5 tonne counterweight within a 12 tonne axle loads. The new crane includes Grove's latest telematics system to provide real time diagnostics and remote support.
Based in Thuringia, Maximum is part of the MaxiKraft group which operates a fleet of 200 telescopic, lattice, crawler cranes and All Terrains ranging from 25 to 1,000 tonnes. Established in 1992, the group employs 500 and operates from 23 locations across seven German states including Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia, Brandenburg, Berlin, Lower Saxony and Bavaria.
