UK rental company Star Platforms has doubled the size of its North West depot in Warrington to accommodate increased equipment storage and improve maintenance facilities.

The enlarged facility – which currently serves customers across North Wales, Lancashire and Yorkshire, housing a fleet of scissor lifts and boom lifts - now includes space for eight delivery trucks and features a dedicated IPAF training centre with extended internal training space.

Joint managing director Richard Miller said: "Expanding our North West depot is an exciting step for Star Platforms. This investment will allow us to better support our customers and strengthen our reputation as a trusted partner for reliable, safe, and efficient working at height in the region. We also plan to further enhance our services with the introduction of our sister company, Star Power, to the region in the coming months, offering their range of temporary power solutions.”

Established in October 2014, Star Platforms runs a fleet of more than 4,000 aerial work platforms with 175 employees from its seven depots in Luton, Coalville, Reading, Thetford, Bridgwater, Tonbridge and Warrington plus another training centre in Luton, with company headquarters in Houghton Regis.
