LEEA survey targets skills crisis

The Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) has launched an international survey as part of a programme to address growing global skills shortages across the lifting industry. The research will form a key part of the association's Global Lifting Awareness Day (Glad) on June 12th.

The survey – open until the 25th April – takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and hopes to gather data on skills gaps, recruitment challenges, and training needs from both LEEA members and non-members. All responses are anonymised.

Results will be presented during an online seminar on June 12th by LEEA chief executive Ross Moloney and director of membership Matt Barber, alongside a detailed report outlining strategies for workforce development.

Moloney said: "The skills shortage in our industry is a challenge that we must address together. Glad provides a platform for businesses, educators, and job seekers to come together, share solutions, and shape the future of lifting."
