100 big scissors for Hire Safe

UK based rental company Hire Safe Solutions has started taking delivery of 100 Sinoboom 5389RD 53ft Rough Terrain diesel scissor lifts.

The 5389RE - first introduced as an electric model - has a working height of 18.2 metres, a maximum platform capacity of 680kg/four persons, with drive at full height. Four wheel drive, two wheel steer and oscillating axle are all standard, as are levelling jacks.

The first three units are handed over

The units have also been ordered with dual platform extensions which takes the overall length of the 1.82 metre wide platform to 7.4 metres. The unit has an overall width of 2.31 metres, an overall length of 4.88 metres and an overall height with guardrails folded of 2.42 metres. Total weight is eight tonnes.

The 100 machine deal was negotiated and agreed at last September’s Vertikal Days event between Hire Safe Solution’s Gerard Jennings and Sinoboom distributor Pinnacle Platforms. The machines are also the first diesel powered 5389RD to arrive in the UK.

Demonstrating the big extended deck
