The new spider lift arrives at Hodgson HQ
The unit has an overall width of 800mm - extending to 1.1 metres on sit - a stowed height of 1.99 metres in height, while Power options include a Honda petrol, Kubota diesel, or a 230V/2.2kW electric motor. The overall weight is 2,800kg with the Honda or 2,860kg with Kubota.
The R20DA
Hodgson's Callum Hodgson said: "The R20DA ticked all the boxes for us. The self-levelling feature is a big plus especially as incorrect leg setup is one of the most common issues we see on hires. The return to home function enhances the user experience, anything that makes our hirers jobs easier is a win. The height and outreach from a machine that can be towed is unmatched and the 230kg cage capacity is a standout, other machines dropped off significantly at full outreach.”
The Hodgson team with the new spider lift
Phil Haselden, director of Specialist Access Engineering added: "This model is the result of a lot of hard work by the design and engineering team. The R20DA is the third new release in as many years and, with more new models in the pipeline it's an exciting time to be involved.”
Founded in 1997 Hodgson is based in Burscough, to north of Liverpool, with a depot in Ainsdale near the coast. It runs a fleet of aerial work platforms, scaffold towers and construction equipment.
