RHC acquires Premier Lifting
UK based lifting gear supplier and testing company RHC Lifting - part of WH Scott group - has acquired Premier Lifting and Safety, also a supplier of lifting equipment and inspection services from owner and director Lee Chandler.
Premier Lifting and Safety is based near Bristol and was established in 2009, by Graham Stephens, with Chandler joing the business in 2010 most of its busienss involves the suppy, including making up of lifting chains and slings as well as service and inspections.
RHC Lifting is also based in Bristol, was set up in 2001, the Simon and Amanda Tapsel, to provide engineering solutions, lifting equipment, statutory inspections and safety products. They left in 2006, and and WH Scott took over, the compbnines group now employs 305 across operations in Ireland and the UK.
WH Scott chief executive Patrick Doyle said: "This acquisition enhances our technical expertise and allows us to offer a broader range of services and products to our clients."
Managing director Phillip Goodway added: "Their knowledge will increase our ability to provide customers with improved service and an increased range of products."
WH Scott is based in Wicklow, south of Dublin and was founded as a boiler maker in Belfast by William Hill Scott and his son in 1897, today it operates from three locations in Ireland – two in the south and one in the north - along with three in England. Other companies in the group include: Hiltonne Engineering, Metlab, Re-Ropes and Hutcheon Examination Services.
