80 tonner for Sönke Jordt

German crane rental and heavy haulage contractor Sönke Jordt has taken delivery of an 80 tonne Grove GMK4080L All Terrain crane.

The four axle GMK4080L has a 60 metre, seven section main boom with an optional 8.7 to 15 metre bi-fold swingaway extension with up to 40 degrees of offset and manual or hydraulic luffing, for a maximum tip height of 78 metres. It can carry up to 13.3 tonnes of its 19.1 tonne counterweight within 12 tonnes axle limits or achieve 10 tonnes axle loads with 5.2 tonnes of counterweight.
The new unit

Grove sales manager Holger Haber said: “Heavy lifting capacities, especially in daily use with up to 13.3 tonnes of counterweight on the crane with 12 tonne axle load or with up to 5.1 tonne counterweight on board with 10 tonne axle load, will enable very flexible and versatile applications and outstanding ranges in the future.”

The Ratekau, Lübeck, based company was founded in 1994 and offers crane rental, heavy haulage along with industrial installation and moving services. Its fleet now includes 13 mobile cranes with capacities from 30 to 300 tonnes as well as three large loader/articulating cranes topped by a 163 metre/tonne model.
