First Grove GMK5150XL arrives in Taiwan

Two Taiwanese rental companies have taken delivery of Grove All Terrain cranes in the past couple of months. Li Ying Crane Engineering has taken a 150 tonne GMK5150XL, the first to arrive in Taiwan, while Kao Ching Engineering has purchased a 300 tonne GMK6300L-1.

The five axle GMK5150XL has a seven section, 68.7 metre main boom plus a 9.6 to 16.2 metre bi-fold swingaway extension that can be extended with an 11.3 metre lattice insert between the boom nose and swingaway to achieve a 99 metre maximum tip height.

The GMK6300L-1 features a seven section, 80 metre main boom plus optional 37 metre luffing extensions that provide a maximum tip height of 120 metres.
Customers at the event

The ceremony took place during a three day customer event in Tainan attended by around 30 companies from the construction, energy and rental sectors.

Manitowoc’s vice president of product management Andreas Cremer said: “This event allowed us to connect more closely with customers and reinforce how our cranes and services are designed to support their success.”
