UK Load monitoring equipment specialist Dynamic Load Monitoring (DLM) has expanded its machining workshop in Southampton with new equipment and increased production space.

The expanded facility now houses two CNC lathes, a mill, and additional equipment shared with a sister company. DLM has also expanded its technical team to include three machinists, a technical manager and technical director.
Managing director Martin Halford said: "A lot has happened in the year since we moved into the new shop. We had planned future expansion to gain more capacity and to be able to increase the size of the load pins we can manufacture, but the opportunity came up to purchase this machine ahead of time."

The company says that the investment almost doubles its machining capacity and follows its recent Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register (Joscar) accreditation for aerospace and defence work, with further investment planned for its calibration workshop.
