JLG shifts production to Italy

JLG is transferring production of some diesel and electric platforms to the Hinowa plant in Italy, having started with the 45ft E450AJ articulated boom lift.

The facility became part of JLG following the Hinowa acquisition in 2023 and will, of course, continue to manufacture Hinowa products, including spider lifts, mini dumpers, crawler carriers and chassis components.

The Hinowa plant in Nogara

The Nogara facility near Verona, includes parts storage systems, a design and prototype department, and testing areas. The relocation is aimed at reducing delivery times and transport distances for European customers.

JLG vice president of global strategy, Rogerio dos Santos said: "We have shifted the production of these models to our existing European plant to better meet the needs of our European customers."

Hinowa managing director Zeno Poltronieri added: "Since the acquisition of Hinowa, we have worked closely together to explore new business opportunities and combine our skills."
