System Lift visits battery plant

A delegation from 13 System Lift member companies have visited Eternity Technologies' battery production facilities in the United Arab Emirates, to see the manufacturing processes for Quasar batteries, which were introduced to their fleet operations last year.

The group, led by System Lift board member Christopher Friedrich, toured two facilities: the Ra's al-Chaima plant and the block battery facility in Dubai. The visit included inspections of lead production, cell chemistry, and laboratory testing procedures.

Inside the factory

Liftkontor managing director Fabian Markmann added: "Block batteries are among the most common wear parts in aerial work platform rental. This makes it all the more important to know exactly how and where they are produced."

The manufacturer's Quasar+ technology, presented by chief engineer Kalyan Sundar, incorporates carbon nanotubes for battery performance. The system is designed to allow intermediate charging cycles for rental fleet operations.
