First Skyjack hybrids in Germany

German rental company Wocken Industriepartner has taken delivery of two 60ft Skyjack SJ60 AJHE+ Rough Terrain hybrid boom lift, the first units to arrive in Germany.

The SJ60AJHE features a 20.1 metre working height and a maximum outreach of just over 12 metres with the 300kg unrestricted platform capacity at an up & over height of 8.3 metres, or 454kg at a 9.25 metre outreach. Overall weight is 8,888kg. The hybrid boom model features three operating modes - electric, automatic, and manual. The hybrid drive system combines AC direct electric traction with pump/generator motors for multi-function capability.

Wocken rental branch manager Jens Burrichter said: "The SJ60 AJHE+ is an environmentally friendly, sustainable choice for rental, one we're happy to have as part of our fleet. We've enjoyed a strong relationship with Skyjack throughout our history, and we're delighted to be the first in Germany to receive the machine."

Based in Meppen, Lower Saxony, Wocken is a third generation family business operating from 12 locations with 340 employees, serving industrial and trade companies through wholesale, service and rental divisions. The company was also the first in Germany to take delivery of Skyjack's SJ9664 RT scissor lift in 2021.
