Chinese manufacturer Sany has released its 200 tonne all electric lattice boom crawler crane which employs Danfoss' first eHydraulic Power Module.
The electric 200t crawler
The new system integrates Danfoss Editron's PMI375-T1100 electric motor with a 260cc D1P variable displacement axial piston pump. The electrification project builds on Sany's previous work with Danfoss, which supplies Editron motors and D1P pumps for the company's 80 to 150 tonne electric crawler crane range.
The eHydraulics system
Danfoss Editron division president Roy Chen said: “Building a solution for Sany's high capacity platform with the Danfoss integrated eHydraulic Power Module marks a milestone. Together with our controls division, we have designed a system combining our D1P pump and Editron motor while tuning controls algorithms to maximise efficiency.”
According to research firm IDTechEx, construction machinery worldwide currently emits approximately 400 million tonnes of carbon dioxide annually. The new electric crawler forms part of Sany's strategy to support zero emission construction sites.
