UK based AER Rents Group has expanded its operations at Metropolitan Business Park in Newcastle, combining three of its businesses in one location.
The expansion integrates Chippindale Hire & Sales' existing operations with Welfare 4 Hire, which relocates from Birtley, while establishing Hudson Lifting's first North East base.

The new facility increases Chippindale's tool hire services through a dedicated new building, alongside expanded space for telehandlers, construction equipment, attachments and site cabin offerings. Welfare 4 Hire will provide welfare and toilet unit services, while Hudson Lifting will introduce specialist lifting solutions to the region.

Gavin Pitt, chief executive of AER said: “This new depot is a fantastic example of the strength of our group companies working together. By bringing Chippindale Hire & Sales, Welfare 4 Hire, and Hudson Lifting under one roof, we can provide a more comprehensive service to our customers in the North-East and beyond.”
Chippindale managing director Paul Blake added: "The additional space at Metropolitan Business Park allows us to scale up our operations and introduce a significantly enhanced tool hire offering. This expansion will provide our customers with even greater choice and availability."
