The pioneering German manufacturer of underbridge inspection platforms has launched the first model of a new generation of models, the MBI 110 NG. The NG designation apparently stands for Next Generation.
The new Moog MBI 110 NG
The maximum horizontal reach is 11 metres, with a 500kg maximum platform capacity, and it can reach over 3.4 metre wide pedestrian walkways and clear sound barriers as high as 3.5 metres. while offering up to 8.6 metres of down reach. The platform itself is 1.2 metres wide
The MBI 110-1.2 NG has an overall weight of between 14,500kg and 18 tonnes depending on the chassis selected. A moving counterweight ensures optimal weight distribution in any situation. The drive unit for creep mode is now integrated directly into the solid rubber support wheels – for maximum power transmission. An inclination compensation system allows the machine to operate on slopes of up to six percent longitudinally or 12 percent laterally
This type of machine does need a well trained operator that is familiar with the machine, so the vast majority will be continue to be supplied with operator.
