German rental company Mikschl Autokrane has taken delivery of two new Liebherr All Terrains in a move to modernise its fleet: a 70 tonne LTM 1070-4.2 and a 230 tonne LTM 1230-5.1.
The four axle LTM 1070-4.2 - replacing a 60 tonne mobile crane – has a 50 metre main boom and a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. Features include Liebherr’s VarioBase and ECOmode systems and its LICCON2 controller. It can carry its swingaway and 10.7 tonnes of counterweight within 12 tonne axle loads, or 3.8 tonnes with 10 tonne axle loads.

The five axle LTM 1230-5.1 is equipped with an eight section 75 metre main boom and can be topped by an 11.5 to 20 metre bi-fold swingaway extension that offsets by up to 40 degrees. Up to three, seven metre inserts can also be added between the boom nose and swingaway for a maximum tip height of 113 metres with the main boom at 68 metres.

Mikschl managing director Roland Mikschl said: "Our fleet always has the latest cranes on the market, this enables us to avoid crane breakdowns and provide our customers with the best possible support in realising their projects. The 70 tonne crane is a very compact four axle unit that can be used on almost all construction sites in its class. Above all, it is a very powerful crane that allows us to carry a lot of ballast when travelling on the road."
Founded in 1988, Mikscl is based in Aichach near Augsburg, Bavaria. The company runs a fleet of cranes that includes All Terrains from 45 to 230 tonnes, along with four, five and six axle Liebherr MK self erecting mobiles from two locations -in Aichach near Ausberg, and Feldmoching- Munich. The fleet also includes a number of loader cranes and trucks supported by a team of 12.
