Jekko partners with Trackunit
Italian spider crane manufacturer Jekko has formed a partnership with Danish telematics company Trackunit to develop J-Link, a fleet management and monitoring system for its range of spider and pick & carry cranes.
J-Link will provide real time fleet management, machine monitoring and predictive maintenance through data analysis. The system allows operators to track and geolocate machines and monitor their operating status. It also includes predictive maintenance functionality, which allows users to assess component wear, plan maintenance and prevent failures.
The system uses Trackunit's connectivity platform, allowing customers with connected machines to manage fleets through a single system.
Jekko commercial director Alberto Franceschini said: "The goal of this collaboration is to offer real added value to crane users, improving efficiency, safety and operational sustainability. With J-Link, operators can easily track and geolocate their machines, as well as monitor their operating status."
Trackunit chief executive Søren Brogaard, added: "We are excited to partner with Jekko and consider this to be another important step in making the construction industry increasingly connected. Connectivity is the key to making on site work more efficient and to supporting the entire industry in the goal of eliminating downtime."
