300 tonner for Allen

Irish rental company Allen Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 300 tonne Tadano AC 6.300-1 All Terrain crane.

The six axle crane features a seven section 80 metre main boom plus an 11.4 to 21 metre bi-fold swingaway which can be offset up to 40 degrees. Inserts up to 63 metres can be added for a maximum tip height of 123 metres.
The handover

Allen Crane Hire owner Robbie Allen said: "Our contact at Tadano, Ed Taylor, quickly convinced us of the fact that the AC 6.300-1 has the best price - performance ratio in its class. Above all, its lifting capacity at a radius of 50 metres with a full 63 metre luffing jib is simply fantastic for a 300 tonne crane and more than perfect for our needs."
"The crane's 80 metre main boom configuration also makes it suitable for erecting and dismantling aroiund 90 percent of the tower cranes used in Ireland, which forms a core part of our business. The crane has already dismantled an 80 metre, 20 tonne tower crane at a work site in north Dublin."
