1,000th Noblelift for BNR

One of Malaysia’s fastest growing rental companies Ban Ngai Rent – BNR -has taken delivery of its 1,000th locally produced Noblelift scissor lift, since launching in March 2024, taking its total aerial lift fleet to more than 2,200 units.

The latest deliveries, all slab electric scissor lifts, include a large number of 19ft Noblelift SC08HCs a classic 19ft unit with a working height of 7.8 metres indoors, 6.5 metres outdoors, platform capacity 230kg, overall width of 760mm and an overall length of 1.88 metres. Other models include the 26ft SC10 HN with a 10 metre working height and 230kg platform capacity, with an overall width of 810mm and an overall length of 2.48 metres and the 33ft SC12H with 12 metres working height, and 320kg platform capacity.

Ban Ngai Rent is based in Semenyih on the south east side of Kuala Lumpur, from where it serves the whole country. It has also started working in the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, with plans to extend that to Singapore and Indonesia, possibly later this year.

The company is part of the Ban Ngai Engineering group which was founded in 1965 as a small machine shop in Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur, to produce shafts, specialist screws and other components for local factories. Today it operates from a three acre site in Klang, around 40km South west of Kuala Lumpur, with branches in Penang and Johor, and has operations in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, China and Nigeria.

Group managing director and owner Dato’ Ong Joe-U, said: “Our ambition is for BNR to be one of the top three regional providers of powered access in South East Asia. Which will require a steady increase in the fleet.”
