Taiwan based maritime company Dong Fang Offshore has purchased a 250 tonne Huisman knuckle boom crane for installation on an offshore vessel being built for it by Norwegian company Vard. The vessel will be used for operations in Taiwan's offshore wind market.

Dong Fang Offshore chief executive Polin Chen said: "We are very pleased to have a Huisman crane on the latest addition to our fleet. Huisman commercial director Timon Ligterink added: "This contract marks another important step in supporting the development of offshore wind infrastructure in Taiwan, and we are proud to contribute with our advanced lifting solutions."
