MacGregor sale delayed
Hiab has stated that while it most regulatory hurdles have been completed for the sale of the MacGregor crane business, it is still waiting on confirmation from the Chinese State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR). Otherwise, preparations for the company’s disposal are all in place, ready to complete once the missing regulatory approval has been obtained.
As a result of the delay though, it now expects to close the deal by the start of October rather than today - July first - as originally planned.
MacGregor has been reported as a discontinued operation since the end of 2024.
