Italian crane manufacturer BG Lift has launched an all-electric version of its four tonne M400 spider crane.

The M400 - which will be available at the end of summer - features a four section main boom with a three section articulated jib for a maximum tip height of 21.1 metres, at which point it can handle 750kg, or 170kg at its maximum radius of 17 metres. Without the jib, the spider has a maximum hook height of 14.8 metres able to lift 1,900kg and an outreach of 12.1 metres at which point it can handle 420kg. When equipped with the work platform it offers a working height of 23 metres and an outreach of 14.5 metres all with the 200kg unrestricted platform capacity.

The unit has an overall height of 1.96 metres, an overall width of 1.2 metres and overall length of 4.25 metres, with an all up weight of 4,300kg.
The company said: “The new M400 electric combines high performance with environmental respect. This transformation not only reduces environmental impact but also makes the machine quieter and more efficient, ideal for operating in urban areas or sensitive environments where emissions and noise pollution are critical issues.”
