Anglo Irish rental group AER Rents, which owns Mr. Plant Hire/MPH, Mainline Group, Drogheda Hire & Sales/DHS, Welfare4Hire, Hudson Lifting and Chippindale Plant, has placed an order for 50 Sany machines including a number of new Sany telehandlers.
While the number of telehandlers has not been specified Sany says that this is its largest telehandler order to date.

The majority of the new units are destined for Chippindale, with the rest split between Mr. Plant Hire and Drogheda Hire, with deliveries spread over the summer. Sany dealer Banner Equipment will handle the Chippindale units, with Sany supplying MPH direct from its UK operation, and Sleator Plant making the Drogheda deliveries in Ireland.

AER Rents says that it only placed the order after conducting extensive due diligence, including visiting Sany’s manufacturing facilities in China to assess the quality and support capabilities.
Chief executive Gavin Pitt said: “This is more than a fleet refresh — it’s a clear signal of our ambition. We’re growing, working with the best, and putting performance, safety, and sustainability at the heart of what we offer our customers.”
AER is owned by O’Flaherty Holdings of Ireland and has built up an extensive rental business in the UK and Ireland through acquisitions, the last being Hudson Lifting in 2023.
