Crane trio

Three crane service providers from central Germany, Richter Kran und Schwerlast from Leipzig, JenKran from Jena and GuR Saalfeld have taken joint delivery of three new Liebherr mobile cranes in a handover ceremony at the manufacturer's Ehingen plant.

The units include a 100 tonne LTR 1100 telescopic crawler crane, and two All Terrains, a 160 tonne LTM 1160-5.2 and a 90 tonne LTM 1090-4.2 All Terrain crane.

The companies maintain a partnership network where they share resources, equipment and support each other across projects.

Richter Kran will use the new LTR 1100 telescopic crawler as an assist crane for larger cranes, working on wind turbine and off road infrastructure construction work. JenKran is replacing an older 130 tonne Grove with the LTM 1160-5.2, which will largely be used for tower crane assembly and taxi crane duties. GuR Saalfeld's LTM 1090-4.2 replaces a 70 tonne crane and bridges the gap with a 60 tonne crane in the fleet.

Richter Kran und Schwerlast managing director Matthias Richter said: "Everyone contributes their expertise – together instead of against each other."

Walter Weise of JenKran added: "You can rely on dependable partners. Whoever is closer to the job takes care of planning and deployment. This saves resources and is sustainable. If necessary, we even support each other with personnel."
