Electronic safety systems manufacturer Brigade Electronics has marked 15 years of operations for its Benelux division.
Brigade Electronics (EU) B.V, to give its official name, is part of Kent, UK based Brigade Electronics, whcih was founded in 1976 by Chris Hanson-Abbott after he came accross reversing alarms installed on vehicles in Japan.
Brigade introduced the first reversing alarm to the UK market at the 1976 Commercial Vehicle Show. The Department for Transport initially declared such alarms illegal, presenting early challenges for the company. Two years later, it achieved its first sale to a UK bus company.
The company said: "From its official registration on 29th June 2010, Brigade BV has grown into a strong, dynamic part of our family. This anniversary is more than just a date; it's a celebration of dedication, resilience and teamwork that has fuelled BV’s journey over the years."
Since its founding, Brigade has expanded its product range from reversing alarms to include cameras, radar detection systems, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) based technology for the lifting and construction markets.
