Merlo has acquired the shares that it does not already own in its German Subsidiary - Merlo Deutschland GmbH
Port handling and storage group Heinrichs Holding has owned a stake in Merlo Germany business for around 33 years, dating back to when the Merlo and Clewing families began working together.
The current generation of the Clewing family says that it is now looking to devote itself exclusively to the development of the 166 year old company’s core operations. With this in mind the two parties worked out a deal in which Merlo Italy acquired the Heinrichs shares, with the deal backdated to the start of the year. No details of the transaction have been released.
