German rental company Portmann Mietlift has taken delivery of its first spider lift a 20 metre S20 CMC spider lift

The lift - launched at Vertikal Days last year - has dual sigma type riser for a maximum working height of 19.9 metres, with a maximum outreach of 10.4 metres at an up & over height of just over eight metres with a capacity of 230kg. Platform rotation is a full 180 degrees, while slew is 360 degrees, non-continuous. Overall length is 5.38 metres or 4.5 metres with the basket removed. Overall width is 790mm extending to just over a metre for travel on uneven ground. Total weight is 2,980kg. Outrigger footprint is just under three by three metres. The new machine was delivered complete with its own dedicated trailer.
The new lift went straight out on its first job
Portmann Mietlift is run by Stephan Portmann and based in Rheda-Wiedenbrück to the North East of Dortmund. The company runs a small fleet of Ruthmann 3.5 tonne truck mounts up to 27 metres and has now decided to move into spider lift rentals, selecting CMC as its supplier.
