700t flagship for Yueh Hsin

Taiwanese rental company Yueh Hsin has taken delivery of a 700 tonne Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 All Terrain crane, which takes over as its new flagship.

The handover at Liebherr's manufacturing plant in Ehingen

The eight axle crane features a basic four section 54 metre boom which converts to a six section 80 metre boom when required. A 90 metre luffing jib is also available. Other features include the VarioBallast hydraulically variable counterweight system, Stage V diesels and Variobase variable outrigger set up and monitoring. Its first job will be to work on a new semiconductor production plant.

Yueh Hsin deputy managing director Tim Wang said: "The competition in crane rental in the 500 tonne class is tough - there are currently around 40 LTM 1500-8.1 models on the market here. This is why we have deliberately opted for a model that not only delivers more performance but is also versatile in use."

Based in Tainan City, Southern Taiwan, Yueh Hsin runs a fleet of 60 cranes with 120 employees and mostly works with companies in the petrochemical and energy sectors along with major and regional contractors.
