Sunstate Equipment is to open new branch in Bradenton, Florida, taking its network in the State to six locations.
Bradenton is just south of Tampa, near the Sarasota metro area. The new branch, due to open this month, is located at 5928 21st Street in East, Bradenton, close to US301 and Interstate 75.

Derek Oliver, regional director sales and marketing said: “The Bradenton branch is a natural extension of our Tampa market and benefits from easy access to major roadways with a central position within a booming development corridor, it will enable faster response times and increased equipment availability, enhancing our service capabilities for customers throughout the region.”
Sunstate was founded in 1977 by Mike Watts when he acquired Beldon Rentals, rebranding it Sunstate. The company is now wholly owned by Sumitomo, having acquired a minority stake in 2009, a majority holding in 2013, and full ownership coming in 2017. The company rents a wide range of equipment, including a fleet of around 26,000 Aerial lifts and 4,500 telehandlers as well as a few carry deck cranes from 106 locations (including 15 dedicated ‘Trench’ branches) across 16 states.
