Dutch international rental group Boels has become IPAF's fifth ‘Sustaining Member’.
The IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) membership now includes all operations within the Boels group including Boels Rental, Riwal, Cramo and Manlift in the Middle East.
IPAF Sustaining Membership is designed for organisations that wish to show that they go above and beyond in their support of IPAF and the work it does.
Riwal has supported IPAF and its mission to improve powered access safety for many years, actively contributing to the organisation’s accident database and helping raise awareness of industry risks and promote the importance of training and regulation. This commitment will now be extended throughout the Boels business. In addition, Boels will add Virtual Reality simulator training at its training centres for scissor and boom lifts.
Fleet uptime manager John Smeets said: “Our strength is that our broad knowledge and large network allow us to offer incredibly customer focused training courses. This way, we contribute to safer work environments and overall, safer construction sites.”
IPAF chief executive Peter Douglas added: “This move unifies all Boels group’s powered access companies under our shared commitment to safety and professionalism. Boels’ scale and influence across Europe makes it an important partner in improving industry standards and supporting safe work at height.”
