Two Böckers for Bandshire

UK crane rental company Bandshire has taken delivery of two new Böcker truck mounted cranes - a six tonne AK 42 and a six tonne AK 48.

The AK42 features a three section 27.5 metre main boom topped by a three section 14.4 metre telescopic jib for a tip height of 42 metres with a maximum radius of 35 metres. It can handle its maximum capacity at 8.2 metres and take 1.5 tonnes at a height of 24 metres and radius of 18 metres.

The AK 48 - launched at Bauma 2022 - features a four section main boom plus a three section telescopic jib for a tip height of 49 metres with a maximum radius of 40 metres. It can handle its maximum capacity of six tonnes at eight metres and 1.5 tonnes at a height of 27.5 metres and a radius of 24 metres. The unit can also be used as a working platform with a load capacity of 350kg, tools can be transported to a height of 45.7 metres.

Therefore, the decision to purchase two of Böcker’s latest and most innovative machines was a simple one. Furthermore, enhancing our crane fleet, which ranges from spiders to truck mount and All Terrains through to 90 tonnes.”

Bandshire was established in 1988 by Ian Blacker. Today, alongside his two sons Ben and Tom, he operates the business from its headquarters in Huddersfield West Yorkshire, offering contract lifting and crane hire services nationwide.
