Sunstate expands in NC

US based Sunstate Equipment has opened a new general rental branch in Greensboro, North Carolina, taking its network in the state to four locations.

The Greensboro addition is located between its existing Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham branches and aims to improve response times and equipment availability in the fast growing Piedmont Triad area. The branch is located at 105 South Swing Road and the local number (336) 234-1113.

Regional vice president Jason King said: "Greensboro will enhance our ability to bring reliable, world class rental solutions to our construction partners throughout the major cities of North Carolina. We believe in treating every customer like our best customer and this branch will help us strengthen our partnerships with the small to mid-sized contractors that make this community thrive.”

Sunstate was founded in 1977 by Mike Watts when he acquired Beldon Rentals, rebranding it Sunstate. The company is now wholly owned by Sumitomo, having acquired a minority stake in 2009, a majority holding in 2013, and full ownership in 2017. The company offers a wide range of equipment, including a fleet of around 26,000 aerial lifts and 4,500 telehandlers as well as a few carry deck cranes, from 107 locations across 16 states.
