800 tonner for Floßdorf

German crane and heavy haulage contractor Dietmar Floßdorf has taken delivery of two new Liebherr cranes an 800 tonne LTM 1750-9.1 and a 150 tonne LTR 1150 telescopic crawler for wind farm projects.
The LTM 1750-9.1 will largely work on wind power projects

The nine axle LTM 1750-9.1 – the company’s new flagship crane news[](700 tonne LTM 1650-8.1) - travels with its 52 metre main boom and once on site up to 91 metres of lattice extensions can be added along with the Y-guying Superlift system to achieve a maximum tip height of just under 160 metres with the main boom extended to 49 metres, a 19 metre extension between the boom nose and jib pivot point with the full 91 metres of luffing jib. The maximum radius is 116 metres at which it can handle 1.81 tonnes. The capacity on the fully telescoped main boom is just under 100 tonnes - or 208 tonnes with the Y-Guy system installed.
The LTR 1150 installs the luffing jib on the LTM 1750-9.1

The LTR 1150 features a six section 52 metre main boom topped by a 10.8 to 19 metre bi-fold lattice swingaway extension which can be further extended with two seven metre lattice extensions for a maximum tip height of 88 metres. The crane can be transported with tracks fitted on a low loader with a maximum transport width of 3.5 metres.

The two cranes will gnerally be supplied as package, to wind farm construction sites with the 150 tonner serving as an assist crane for the larger unit.

Director Marco Floßdorf said: "We purchased the LTM 1750-9.1 to significantly expand our deployment options in the heavy duty and major assembly sectors, especially in relation to wind power. Its high capacities, combined with good mobility allows us to install large hub heights and heavy components even more efficiently. For us, the LTR 1150 offers the ideal combination of high capacity, rapid setup time and the ability to deal with tough terrain. The telescopic boom makes the setup work so much faster and simpler and is the perfect add on for combined use with the LTM 1750"
