The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) is participating in the Construction Industry Federation's 'Back to Basics' safety campaign running across Ireland from until the 24th October.
IPAF will conduct site visits and safety talks with contractors across Ireland during the two week campaign, covering work at height using aerial work platforms.

Topics to be covered include ground conditions, machine selection, pre-use inspections, operator and spotter familiarisation, safe operation, supervision and rescue plans.
IPAF Irish country manager Damien O'Connor said: "Safety starts on the ground. Whether operating an aerial work platform, managing a worksite or supervising teams, attention to the basics can prevent serious injuries and help save lives."
The campaign encompasses European Safety Week and focuses on fundamental health and safety principles in the Irish construction sector, with IPAF publishing a safety leaflet on its Back to Basics campaign page.
