A first French 250t Tadano

French contractor and rental company Sotrama has taken delivery of the first 250 tonne Tadano AC 5.250L-2 All Terrain crane in the country.

The AC 5.250L-2 was launched at Bauma earlier this year and includes a 79 metre eight section main boom with a range of 5.8 to 30 metre lattice extensions taking the maximum tip height to 112 metres. The crane also includes Tadano’s IC 1 Plus and Surround View systems, as well as the Eco mode and a start stop function for reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions.

Sotrama general manager Peggy Guenault said: "We already operate several Tadano All Terrain cranes, which demonstrate excellent performance and reliability. We have just received our new crane, equipped with the necessary extensions to extend the boom to 91 metres, and it is already in operation. We are not wasting any time. Such a reach on a 250 tonne crane is simply remarkable."
