230 tonner for Brazil

Brazilian crane rental company Cunzolo Máquinas e Equipamentos has taken delivery of a 230 tonne Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 All Terrain crane.

The five axle unit will be based in São José dos Campos to the north east of São Paulo and is equipped with an eight section, 75 metre main boom and can be topped by an 11.5 to 20 metre bi-fold swingaway extension that offsets by up to 40 degrees. Up to three, seven metre inserts can also be added between the boom nose and swingaway for a maximum tip height of 113 metres with the main boom at 68 metres. The crane will be used primarily for tower crane assembly, industrial maintenance and lifting operations in construction.

Director Marcos Cunzolo said: “The choice was made in favour of the Liebherr crane because of its modern technical features. The telescopic boom slloed liftd yo grest height or, even more importantly long reach, the variable VarioBallast counterweight offers flexibility and the various operating modes make the five axle crane a real all rounder for all kinds of applications.”

With headquarters in São José dos Campos and Campinas, Cunzolo runs an extensive fleet of All Terrain, truck, Rough Terrain, loader and pick & cranes as well as aerial work platforms from its locations in Sorocaba, Taubaté, and Três Lagoas.
