Manitowoc adds to French network

Manitowoc has opened a new regional customer support facility in Bouaye, south west of Nantes, France. The facility will provide regular maintenance services, repairs, reconditioning and thorough examinations for both Potain tower cranes and Grove mobiles.

Located on an 11,000 square metre site, the facility includes a 600 square metre workshop, with parts storage, welding bay and 10 tonne overhead crane. The usable yard space totals 7,300 square metres and includes a Potain MD 365 yard crane configured with a 16 tonne maximum capacity and a 70 metre jib.

The new Bouaye location adds to the eight existing depots in France: - Bordeaux, Toulouse, Méru, Orléans, Dole, Lyon, Marseille, and Nice.

Vice president sales & aftermarket Jérôme Chanel said: “Our new facility will allow us to better serve customers by improving service and repair capabilities, increasing parts availability. We are positioning ourselves to meet growing market demands with more products and better service offerings, making it easier for our customers to maintain and repair their cranes efficiently.”
