Slagelse acquires Liftservice

Danish aerial lift, telehandler and glass handling rental company Slagelse Liftudlejning has acquired Aarhus based rental company Liftservice from its owner Erik Jacobsen and co-owner Jens Dueholm who will remain on board as manager of Slagelse’s new Aarhus branch.

The deal extends Slagelse’s branch network to five locations adding to its depots in Slagelse – west central Zealand, Næstved – south west Zealand, Copenhagen and Kalundborg in north west Zealand, the new Aarhus branch is also the company’s first outpost in Jutland.

All, or most of Liftservice’s staff are expected to remain on board under the new ownership. Details of the transaction have not been disclosed. Founded in 1990 the Liftservice fleet includes scissors, spider lifts trailer lifts and truck mounted lifts up to 57 metres.

Slagelse Liftudlejning chief executive Thomas Lindboe added: “We are delighted to welcome Liftservice and their qualified staff to Slagelse Liftudlejning. With a branch in Aarhus, we are even better positioned as a nationwide provider and can be closer to our customers in Jutland. This allows us to offer the high quality and flexibility for which we are known.”

Slagelse’s product line includes boom lifts up to the 180ft Genie, scissor and mast lifts, mast booms, trailer lifts and truck mounted lifts to 90 metres. Along with telehandlers and glass handling robots,
