1,500 Genies for Mateco

Luxembourg based international rental company Mateco has ordered 1,500 new Genie machines as part of its 2026 fleet renewal and expansion plans.

While the breakdown is not yet been specified, we understand the units include Genie's full product range including diesel and electric scissor lifts, articulated and telescopic booms as well as TraX models crawler boom lifts.

Mateco chief operating officer Andries Schouten said: “This major investment demonstrates our confidence in Genie products. Its strong aftermarket support enables us to maximise uptime and productivity across our operations.”

Genie vice president sales & support, Sharbel Kordahi added: “This order underlines the strength of our collaboration and our shared commitment to delivering reliable, innovative and high quality equipment solutions.”

Mateco traces its roots back 1973 when German painting company Maltech began renting out its aerial work platforms. Today, it runs around 45,000 aerial lifts and telehandlers across 15 countries in Europe and South America.
