250 tonner for Alfred Klug

German rental company Alfred Klug has taken delivery of its second 250 tonne Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 All Terrain crane, replacing an older 220 tonne model.
The handover

The five axle LTM 1250-5.1 features a six section, 60 metre main boom plus a 12.2 to 22 metre bi-fold swingaway extension with up to 45 degrees of offset. A wide range of extension options are available, topped by 50 metres of lattice, all of which can be offset by up to 45 degrees. The maximum tip height is 113 metres. The crane will be used across the company’s locations in Bavaria, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.

Managing director Christina Glück said: “We have been using an LTM 1250-5.1 since 2019 and have been extremely satisfied. The new order is identical and makes the work of our drivers easier and ensures smooth processes for permits, transport, as well as assembly and dismantling.”

Co-managing director Sebastian Häger added: “It is not only the most powerful five axle All Terrain on the market, but also extremely flexible to use. Another advantage is that the optional equipment on our existing crane is fully compatible with the new one.”

Founded in 1939 and based in Hof, between Leipzig and Nuremberg, with a total of six further depots across Germany - Bindlach, Marktreedwitz, Leuna, Schleiz, Zwickau and Neuensalz. It runs a fleet of All Terrain cranes from 40 to 500 tonnes, supported by a team of 81 employees.
