Ecobat Battery rebrand

UK based battery supplier Ecobat Battery has been rebranded as Veloris, the change follows its sale to private equity firm Endless - the same one that recently acquired the depots of UK rental company HSS. The rebranded company will continue its activities across Europe, while no longer being a part of the North American Ecobat group. In a separate deal the North American parent Ecobat group sold its UK recycling business to private equity firm Splitstone Capital

Veloris chief executive Russell McBurnie said: “We are now free to pursue our own priorities, and by regaining our independence, we are reenergised and able to use the skill, knowledge and experience embedded in the business, to drive growth and fulfil our potential.”

Established in 1998 and based in Shrewsbury, western England, Veloris - to use its new name - will continue to supply battery products, services and energy storage solutions to a range of market sectors.
