UK based lifting company AMF Lifting has taken delivery of its first spider crane a three tonne Hoeflon C6.
The crane arrives on site
The Hoeflon C6 has a five section 9.5 metre main boom topped by a three section 4.3 metre telescopic luffing jib for a maximum radius of up to 14.4 metres where it has a capacity of 211kg, while the maximum tip height is 16.4 metres, at which point it can handle 601kg. The jib can also luff around 15 degrees above the horizontal main boom. The C6 has an overall stowed width of 750mm, but once on site, the non-marking rubber tracks can extend to just over a metre. The overall length is just over three metres, with a height of 1.77 metres. Total weight is 2,850kg with all options included.
Ashley Fussey, AMF managing director, said: “We collected our Hoeflon C6 spider crane late last night and it went out on its first job this morning in Birmingham.”
Founded in 2021 and based in Grimsby, AMF runs a fleet of crawler cranes, piling rigs, forklifts and 360 degree telehandlers offering contract lifting and a full sheet piling service.
