UK rental company Marsden Crane Services has taken delivery of a 150 tonne Liebherr LTM 1150-5.3 All Terrain crane, which takes over as the larger unit in the company's fleet.
The five axle LTM 1150-5.3 is equipped with a 66 metre, seven section main boom along with the 10.8 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension that offsets hydraulically by up to 40 degrees. A seven metre insert can be added between the boom nose and extension to take the maximum tip height to almost 95 metres and maximum radius to 72 metres. For its first job, the crane supported the erection of Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s newest theme park ride.
The handover
Managing director Lee Marsden said: “We’re absolutely delighted to add this new LTM 1150-5.3 to our fleet. The compactness and ‘as travels’ duties were key factors in our decision to buy the crane. We look forward to getting it out to work.”
