Irish aerial lift and telehandler rental company Dromad Hire has opened a new training operation - ‘DTA Training’ (Dromad Training Academy), which aims to provide safety and skills training for both companies and individuals.
The new business is based at a new training facility in Dundalk, in the northeast of Ireland, with space for hands-on learning, practical assessments, and study. Courses include IPAF operator training, harness safety, working at height and manual handling.

A new website, http://DTATraining.com, allows users to view course details, submit booking enquiries, and access information on workplace safety and compliance.
Operations director Ronan Cotter said: “Creating DTA Training is a natural extension of what we already do. Our customers rely on us for equipment, guidance, and safety. The Dromad Training Academy brings all of that together - with a dedicated facility, state-of-the-art training spaces, accredited instruction, and a new website that allows customers to easily access course information.”
Established in 1988, Dromad runs a fleet of around 350 aerial lifts, including 20 spider lifts, along with telehandlers, general construction equipment and tools from locations in Dublin and Dundalk.
