New dealer for Atlas

German loader crane manufacturer Atlas has appointed Gergen Kipper-und Fahrzeugbau as its dealer in the Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, and Baden-Württemberg regions of Southwest Germany.

Leo Gergen founded the company in 1938 to manufacture hydraulic tipper bodies for installation on truck chassis. In 1948, it built its first loader crane and digger for truck mounting and since then has added a range of products with a heavy focus on skips and skip loaders, hook lifts and custom truck bodies.

Based in St Ingbert, north east of Saarbrücken, it has in the past also mounted Fassi loader cranes. The company will also distribute Atlas mini excavators.

Arndt Kreutzer of Gergen said: “Since Leo Gergen founded the company in 1938, a lot has changed. Our product distribution was continuously expanded, and the requirements concerning the vehicles keeps increasing. One thing, however, has never changed - our ambition to be always one step ahead, making developments that actively shape the market and providing our customers with even higher efficiency and reliability. We are proud that we can always supply our customers with the right product, even for the most difficult applications. The Atlas loader cranes and mini excavators fit perfectly with our existing product offering, and we are already looking forward to a long term cooperation with Atlas.”

Atlas chief executive Brahim Stitou added: “A close cooperation with Gergen as our distribution partner will expand the market coverage in the southwest of Germany. I am confident that our new partnership will be mutually beneficial for both Atlas and Gergen.”
