Hybeko operates under its own name in Norway and Finland, having acquired Rostek-Tekniikka in 2021 and rebranded it as Hybeko Finland. In Sweden it is Liftexperten having acquired it in 2019, and in 2024 moved into Denmark with the acquisition of Jøma Lift Teknik. It is the Genie and Multitel distributor for the whole region and handles Dino lift and Leguan in some of its markets. It also produces a special 33ft tunnel lift based on a Genie Rough Terrain scissor lift.

Based in Skien – southwest of Oslo, Hybeko was established by Magne Forland in 1972. In the mid-1980s, after son Svein Inge Forland had joined the business, the company was appointed as the Genie distributor for Norway. Branches in Bergen, Trondheim and Lillestrøm followed. The acquisitions over the past six years have added Genie dealers in Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Hybeko also operates in the Baltic countries and Iceland. Chief executive Espen Johannesen joined the business in 2006 and has played a key role in the ongoing expansion. He is also a shareholder in the business.
Espen Johannesen

Hybeko chief executive Espen Johannesen said: “We are seeing a clear increase in demand for flexible and sustainable lifting solutions, and Faresin fits perfectly into that development. Being able to offer both electric and diesel powered telehandlers gives our customers greater choice and strengthens our total offering.”

“Faresin is a strong strategic match for the Hybeko group, as both are family owned companies with shared values and a clear focus on innovation and long term development. "
