A regular Vertikal visitor spotted the image/flyer below posted on a wall in Waring Street, Belfast and asked: “Can any of your readers offer any insight or explanation to the attached? I’ve come up with nothing!”
With a few tips and a little more digging, he has since found that it is a poster that some are offering for sale online, yet neither of us could trace any actual film/movie. If it exists, it looks like it would have been/is some sort of ‘Zombie movie’.
Any ideas or comments as to its origin or the existence of an actual film that might enlighten us will be much appreciated.
The posters are clearly connected to Harland & Wolff’s two giant 850 tonne Krupp gantry cranes known as Samson and Goliath. Goliath was erected in 1969, and Samson in 1974. Goliath is 96 metres high, while Samson is 106 metres. Each crane has a span of 140 metres and can lift loads to a height of 70 metres. They have a tandem lift capacity of almost 1,700 tonnes.
